We have an awesome team. There's 24 of us, mainly in London with a few scattered remotely. We've been going nearly 5 years but still operate like a startup - always learning, experimenting and pushing each other on.
The team is made up of Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Product and Engineering.  And we are now looking for a Part Time Book Keeper to come on board with us once a week to manage our accounting.
What's the job?
We are looking for a part-time bookkeeper to come in 1 day a week and bring our accounting function in house. This is an all round accounting role and you will look after the day to day bookkeeping, accounting, credit control, payroll, VAT and management accounts for our business.
Working closely with our Operations Manager, the focus will be on evolving the way we operate to be more effective and efficient.
What will you be doing?
  • Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable and Bank Reconciliations
  • Prepare and post Deferred Revenue Journal for Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare the P&L and balance sheet and Management Accounts each month
  • Prepare and post Payroll & Expenses
  • Prepare and post the VAT return quarterly
  • Check and advise on budgets
  • Annual accounts - prepare and close with our external accountancy provider
What skills and experience do you need?
  • AAT Level 2 or above qualification + 3 years accountancy experience
  • Hands on experience of managing deferred revenue for a SaaS business essential
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely required
  • Ability to interpret data and make cost effective decisions
  • Expert user of Xero and Google Sheets
  • Two recent references
  • Must be able to commit for min 12 months
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of Chargebee or a similar subcription management system
  • HR and payroll knowledge
  • Have worked independently in a remote environment (ideally using Slack etc)
